3. Get on the review sites AI models trust
G2, Capterra, TrustRadius, Clutch — these get scraped heavily. They also get cited in LLM responses when users ask for recommendations. Build a review presence on the ones that match your vertical.
4. Build structured schema markup
Schema.org structured data (FAQ, Product, LocalBusiness, Review) makes your content machine-readable in a way that feeds both Google's AI Overviews and the underlying training pipelines. It's free and takes an afternoon.
5. Earn high-authority backlinks from editorial sources
The same old SEO move still works — but for a new reason. Editorial backlinks signal authority to Google, which increases the chance your content gets cited by Google AI Overviews, which increases the chance your brand gets mentioned by the downstream models trained on AI Overview data.

The fastest way to see where you stand: ask Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini the questions your customers would ask. Do you show up? Are your competitors named and you're not? Are you mentioned accurately or with outdated info?
